5/25/23  Dashing DANTE! This 3 year old boy was found deserted in the streets after being turned away from humane society because they were too full. He is absolutely the sweetest, playful boy you could ever meet. He loves to come in the office and cuddle with us. He is very smart and treat motivated. He gets along great with female dogs. He is finishing up his heartworm treatment so still needs local foster or foster to adopt until then. DANTE is truly magnificent and full of personality.

4/5/23  Dante needs a local medical foster to get him through his heartworm treatment and surgeries. After his treatments are done, he will be available for adoption.

4/2/23. Update on "Dante" the doberman that was turned away from shelters for no room then dumped on the street. He is around three and knows basic commands. He is Heartworm positive (of course) and has eye entropia on both lower lids and will eventually be neutered after other medical. We raised $1000.00 for his care but that's half of what we need to fully vet him to cover everything. He did not seem receptive to male dogs but we will test with females next week after he decompress a bit. A foster local in south Florida would be fantastic.

Special Needs: Needs heartworm treatment, has entropia both lower lids, needs to be neutered

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
