04/12/26. One-year-old Rocco is still waiting for his forever home.

He’s honestly the best guy. He’s crate trained, walks great on a leash, and has a stellar recall. He knows place/down/stay, tug, drop, center, forward, back, and he’s muzzle trained. He’s good with baths and great with other dogs—he just plays really rough and tumble.

He’s done well with both male and female dogs, big and small, but he can be a lot when he plays—so he wouldn’t be a good match for a dog that doesn’t share his play style.

He’s good with people too, but he needs a little time before he wants pets. Once he warms up, he’s a total cuddle bug who thinks he’s a 10‑lb Chihuahua.

He’s happy to walk next to new people, take treats, do recall, etc. I’m just big on not pushing physical affection—especially with guarding breeds—and letting the dog have a say in the interaction.

He’s high energy and LOVES to work. He’s so fun to train—then after 10 minutes, I sit down and he literally throws himself into my lap like, “Cuddle time!”

He’s the biggest goofball I’ve ever met and insanely smart. I truly can’t say enough good things about him. I’ve worked with so many dogs and I love them all, but some are extra special—and he’s 10,000% one of them.
