--Some of our dogs have had major medical procedures such as surgeries or heartworm treatment or are awaiting procedures and are not available for adoption yet.

--We have some dogs that will most likely be permanent residents or forever fosters. These dogs have minimal chance for adoption. Some dogs have behavioral issues and have been deemed not safe to adopt at this time. We don't give up on our behavioral dogs; we may need the help of trainers and behaviorists to insure structure and safety in their current living situation and they may stay with us for their lifetime.

--We have dogs who are in forever foster situations (hospice, much older dogs or dogs with conditions that significantly reduce the possibility of adoption or have overly expensive medications or medical needs).
