1/22/26. Robert’s in the hospital tonight. He’s got a clean break in his leg and some bruising in his lungs after being hit by a car. We’re going to talk with the surgeon tomorrow morning, but for now he’s staying at the hospital. The costs are expected to come to around $4,000, so if you can share or help out at all, it really means a lot.

We picked up Robert from M.D.A.S. today. He ended up there last night after the accident — someone had left him behind in a Miami neighborhood.

We’re really in need of donations so we can get this sweet boy the care he needs. We’re still waiting for the X-ray results and, honestly, his bill is already at $1,500. Plus, he has eye entropion that needs attention too.

Even with all that pain, he was giving the doctor kisses during his exam. Finding him a medical foster in South Florida would be such a blessing.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL.
