3/9/26 Eight-year-young APOLLO is looking for his forever home. He lost the only home he’s ever known after the family’s child developed allergies, through no fault of his own.

Apollo is a super sweet boy and does well with children of all ages. Right now, he really seems to prefer being the only dog in the home. Don’t let his age fool you, though—he still has plenty of spunk. He walks nicely on leash most of the time, but if he spots a squirrel he’ll definitely put some muscle into it and pull, so you’ll want to be ready for that.
Here’s what his wonderful foster has to say about him:
“He’s a total sweetheart who loves having his ears scratched. For 8, he still brings so much happiness and energy into the home. He loves going on walks. He’s incredibly calm and has no anxiety issues when left alone. He doesn’t chew anything up, not even his own toys. He likes to make toys squeak by pressing (or ‘booping’) them with his nose. He’s the easiest dog to take care of that I’ve ever had.”
If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing, and fun companion, get your applications in for APOLLO and help this gorgeous senior find his forever home.

01/12/26 Welcome Apollo to DRL DOB:04/17/18  this sweet boy found him self at the rescue no fault of his. Note from the owner: “Unfortunately, due to a few circumstances, we can no longer give him the home he deserves. Our daughter has a dog allergy, which has required us to keep Apollo separated in an open room away from the main areas of the house, limiting his ability to be with the family.”
It breaks our hearts because he thrives on companionship. We want what is best for Apollo, and we believe a rescue can help him find a loving home where he can be fully included and cared for.
He is a senior dobe with so much love to give. Loves dogs kids NO cats we start him on supplements for some arthritis. Fully vaccinated and got neuter this week. Looking for his furever home .
