3/15/26 – Honey Needs Your Help Honey is a 1–2-year-old sweet Dobie mix who’s already been through more than any dog should. She first came to our rescue last year after her owners said they couldn’t wait for us to pick her up and threw her out on the street. Thankfully, someone found her and got her safely to us.
She spent some time at Magic City K9 for training and came back to us last summer. We thought she had finally found her perfect home these past few months, but her adopter just brought her back to us, heartbroken. He was worried about her safety because his fiancée didn’t like Honey and was leaving her out on the back patio all day, hoping she’d run away.
Honey is a playful, energetic, pretty girl who enjoys other dogs and is just as happy curling up and snuggling with her people. She’d do really well with an active family who will keep up with her training so she can continue to grow and be the best version of herself. She loves going on little “field trips” with our volunteers to the beach or the park, and she rides nicely in the car.
We don’t have any history of her with cats or young children, so she’d probably do best in a home with teens and up.
Please help Honey find the true forever home she deserves, where she’ll be loved and safe and never thrown out on the street again.
12/05/25. HONEY needs a hero! This 1-year-old pretty dobermix was dumped on the streets last year. Rather than wait to schedule a time to drop her off, they just threw her out on the streets. She completed her training at Magic City K9 prison program and has been back with us since July. She's a sweet, smart girl and loves to give kisses once she knows you. She loves playing with other dogs and would make a great companion for another dog. She would do well with an active teen to play with her. She really needs an adopter who will keep up with her training so she can continue to be the best version of herself. She's a good girl that just needs a chance. PLEASE SHARE HONEY so she can go home! 8/4/25. Let’s welcome HONEY back, who recently graduated and completed her training at Magic City K9 and is ready to find her furever family. This young dobie mix still has a lot of puppy energy but is very smart, eager to please, and responds well to her commands. She walks very well on her leash with a gentle leader and waits quietly in her kennel 'til it’s her turn to come out. She needs a committed adopter to continue working with her so she can be the best version of herself. Honey likes most other dogs and would do well with another male. No cats or young children. She’s a sweet, playful girl who just needs a chance. As of 05/18/25, Honey has been participating in a training program with Magic City K9. She has come a long way from being a wild child under the guidance of her trainer. The perfect family for her would be one that continues her training journey, helping her become the best she can be. She’s incredibly intelligent! 3/7/25. Meet Honey! This absolutely adorable 1-year-old Dobie mix finds herself in need of a new family through no fault of her own. Her owners were living in a small apartment and said they were too busy for her. Rather than wait for us to get her, we ended up putting her out on the streets. Fortunately a Good Samaritan contacted us. We are still getting to know her, but she is sweet and playful. She likes other dogs, She is crate trained and housebroken.
