My name is ELLIE, I am the sweetest, smartest most loving, family oriented 2 year old Doberman shepherd mix and I am still waiting for my forever home. Today my best friend Theo left and while I am so happy for him I will be sad here without him as we loved to play together. I keep seeing all the other dogs around me go home and wondering why everyone keeps passing me by. I know I may not be a purebred Doberman but the humans here in the rescue say I am probably one of the sweetest and most intelligent dogs they have ever met . Yesterday the human whose paws are writing this told me to go find Theo so we could go out and play together. Even though I had never been shown which was his kennel I ran along the back run not bothered by any dogs barking at me and sat right down in front of Theo’s outdoor run so the human knew to take him out. I then ran out the back end of the run because I knew that’s what the human wanted me to do so as not to bother the other dogs and waited for Theo to get out and together we frolicked and ran to the pool. I love all humans especially children. I do well with any male dog I meet. Last week I got to play with a little boy shitzu and even though he barked and growled at me I was very gentle and kind with him . Yesterday 2 little boys came to visit another dog and I got to play with them and their family and I was in heaven. I don’t bark , I sit quietly in my kennel waiting for the nice humans to let me out. I keep a clean kennel, I am well mannered and love anything water- pool, hose or sprinkler. I am very food motivated and am an extremely quick learner. PLEASE won’t you consider adopting me and giving me a home for the holidays!
